Learning to play the Ukulele
Year 4 have started to learn to play the ukulele.
They completed their first session today and learned all about the instrument and even had a go at playing along to a song!
Well done Year 4!

Well done Year 4!
Foundation Stage 2 enjoyed their group reading in our wonderful forest area – but then again you can enjoy a book anywhere!
In Year 5 we did some taste testing with Spanish foods.
We tried a few different tapas dishes and rated which one was our favourite.
As you can tell from the pictures there weren’t many people who were a fan of the olives but the Patatas Bravas went down a storm!
For International Dance Day, Year 2 created some art by listening to different styles of music and let our hands ‘dance’ in response.
We listened and danced to Hip-hop, Classical, Rock, Pop, and Jazz.

Our fantastic pupils tell us exactly why they love Hillside!
Check out the videos below
“I like Hillside because it’s a place you can be unique and everyone is like your family.”
Hillside really celebrated World Wildlife Day this year because we all believe in protecting the world around us.
The eco-council worked with the Wildlife Trust to plant an orchard. We will soon be enjoying an apple crumble!
The Year 5 and 6 children were given the opportunity to take over a job in school.
They could be the Caretaker, a Teaching Assistant, a member of the Office Team, a teacher, or even the Headteacher.
They did an excellent job – we are all a bit worried about keeping our jobs, to be honest!
