At Co-op Academy Hillside, our curriculum is a vehicle to inspire curiosity and a love of learning. It should present children with challenging content that pushes them to think critically and creatively. Subjects have been sequenced carefully to provide both depth and breadth of knowledge which builds progressively over time. It should connect with their previous learning, personal experiences and the world around them, making learning more meaningful and impactful.

Above all else, a curriculum should be magical for our children. It should set high expectations for all students while providing the necessary support to help them succeed and reach their potential. Skilled teachers place their students at the heart of the curriculum, bringing it to life by injecting passion, enthusiasm and expertise to make our curriculum more than just words on a page. 

The curriculum is enhanced by enrichment opportunities, careers aspirations and local community links, as well as through our Co op values.
